  • U.S. Health Officials Asking Public For Input On Cannabinoids For Treating Pain

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is conducting an investigation into cannabinoids for the treatment of chronic pain, particularly CBG and CBC.

The AHRQ is asking the public for help by providing published and unpublished studies on cannabinoids, with submissions due by January 4, 2021.

The investigation will focus on:

  • The benefit of cannabinoids for adults with chronic pain, including specific efficacy outcomes.
  • The harm of cannabinoids in adults with chronic pain, including adverse effects.
  • Cannabinoid delivery.
  • Synthetic cannabinoids.
